Family members of Christopher Kelley and Taylor Lowery gathered to ask the city government of Topeka to release police body cam footage of the deaths of their loved ones. They are seeking transparency and accountability. The city has refused to release the footage, and the families believe that the police need more training to handle mental health crises. They also question why only Valeo Behavioral Health Care is used in such situations and why other resources are isolated. The families have asked the public to sign an online petition to request the release of the body cam footage.
